10am Upper Bay Tour with Save The Bay
Saturday, November 16, 2024
Sott’Acqua and the Downtown Providence Park Network are partnering with Save The Bay to offer boat tours of the Upper Narragansett Bay and Hurricane Barrier.
Save The Bay’s harbor tours are designed to introduce attendees to a working port and explore how the natural history and geological shaping of Narragansett Bay helped influence human history along its coastline. We will also discuss the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier, which was constructed in 1960 after Hurricane Carol.
Guests will board one of Save The Bay’s Coast Guard Certified Educational Vessels and be accompanied by one of their Captains and an Educational Specialist that will narrate throughout the tour.
A total of four tours will be offered on November 16, at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm. To sign up for another time, please visit the event listing on our website.
