195 District Park is seven-acre urban waterfront park in the heart of Providence’s 195 District that opened in 2019. The park was designated open space as part of the relocation of a portion of Interstate 195 and the creation of the I-195 Redevelopment District. The park serves as a community gathering place and a cornerstone of a growing innovation district, hosting thousands of daily visitors with programming and events throughout the year. The park features two seasonal concessions, an ice cream vendor and a beer garden.

As a newbie in this space, I can say that it isn’t easy, but if you have a desire to do something (in this case, saw a need), do it! I found that black and brown girls weren’t happy about their hair texture. Therefore, I wanted to dispel that. I’ve spent my entire adult life mentoring and building confidence in girls, so this was a no brainer for me.📚
I am going to rest my mind a few days and start on my second book. I have plenty of ideas, but as an indie writer, I’m educating myself as I go.🥰
